What is Sport England?
Sport England is responsible for delivering the Government’s sporting objectives by promoting and investing in sport and delivering on the vision to make England a successful sporting nation.
Sport England have published a new strategy designed to build a world leading community sport system.
What else does Sport England do?
Sport England is responsible for promoting and investing in sport by distributing both Lottery and Exchequer funds to sport:
- Working hard to make England more active and encourages people to get involved with sport
- Distributing funding and invests in a range of sporting projects, primarily through sport's national governing bodies
- Influencing decision makers and public opinion on sport.
