The Gambling Act (Small Society Lotteries) (Registration of Non-Commercial Societies) Regulations 2007
This consultation has now ended. The consultation period was 12 June - 30 July 2007.
These are procedural regulations which concern the registration of non-commercial societies in relation to running small society lotteries for charitable and other non-commercial purposes.
Small society lotteries with proceeds of less than £20,000 will be exempt from the full operating licence requirements of the new Act, and will simply have to register with their local authority. This consultation seeks the views of stakeholders on the establishment of the procedure for registering such lotteries.
