Consultation On Children's Play Review

In October 2002 the Government announced a review of children's play opportunities to inform spending of the £200m lottery funding through the New Opportunities Fund (NOF). The review will run until Spring 2003 and is jointly sponsored by DCMS and DFES, who will be working closely with NOF and other Government Departments. The NOF programme will be UK wide and covers children 0-16. Like other NOF programmes the review will consider areas of disadvantage and groups of children with limited play opportunities.

Launched: 16th December 2002
Closing Date: 7th March 2003

This consultation paper invites views on the proposed funding programme for children's play and is part of a wider series of consultations, which will allow the Government to gather the views of stakeholders, including parents and children.
