better public building

Our Better Public Buildings report made the case for good public building design, and the CABE 2006 publication shows what good design can achieve.

Good design:

  • makes services easy to deliver, improving productivity
  • helps recruit and retain staff, reducing staff turnover costs
  • reaches out previously excluded sectors of society

Good design is not an expensive luxury. Following best practice in integrating design and construction will give improved value for money, especially over the lifetime of a building. Find out more: CABE – Better Public Buildings publication.
